What a fun weekend. Friday night began with KP’s bday celebration at Sushi O Sushi, where apparently after 30 you get sat outside and rotating waiters. Whom, might I add are very fun to mess with and make sing K pop songs to you. In a saki/wine/sushi haze, we ended up at River Shannon where none of us had ever been… wrapped the night by singing and getting insulted by gingers. Hmmph. Great fun with our foursome.
Saturday was busy with errands and trying to enjoy the gorgeous day while running around trying to get ready for my friend Katheryn’s wedding. I was in such a rush, I managed to overshoot when we needed to be there. I’m not sure if you’ve ever shown up thirty minutes early to a wedding… but let me tell you, it’s a great way to start a fun night.
So lucky to have my partner in crime, KMH with me at my Jr. League co-VP’s black tie wedding this weekend, where we knew no one. Well, except for one weird, inappropriately dressed girl and family uncle we’ve worked with… anyway.
Gorgeous reception at the Sofitel, great food (the apps alone, I die!) and drinks including a beer the groom brewed himself for the occasion! The triangle of trust (me, KMH and random dude at our table) kept things on lock most of the night, bevs on bevs, dance floor danger. I’m not quite sure how,  but thank goodness we all made it home safely. Three weddings down, one to go this year!

I love the little stops we find between Chicago and my clients in Michigan. Yesterday the crew (literally, 5 of us) stopped on the way home at my personal favorite exit on 94, exit 39 in Michigan at this little place. Flowers, fruit, ice cream, apple cider doughnuts- and MEXICAN FOOD! So good!
Not pictured: the apple cider doughnut I inhaled. Between this, the fruit stand across the street, the cider mill, the gas station, exit 39 just scored my loyalty forever. Love.

"I can get a little drunk, I get into all the dont’s. But on good days I am charming as…"

Newly discovered song that I happen to love. Dirty language and all :)

Pretty much a dream weekend. Boat tour + LuxBar + Diag with my faves on Saturday, spending as much time as possible outdoors and Ravinia with Ship to hear Carrie Underwood Sunday. Perfection.

Had a lovely architecture boat tour on Saturday. The Chicago Architecture Foundation uses volunteer docents and it was really nice. Took this hyperlapse coming back down the river. Seriously can’t help but fall in love with this place…
